Tobin's 2nd 1st Birthday Party and Thanksgiving A few weeks after his first birthday, our little family drove to Opelika (Clark's home town) for Tobin's 2nd birthday party which was shared with his cousin Maggie (who turned 2).
Breakfast with Maggie and Grandma.
Present time. Both Maggie and Tobin got little baby park benches from Grandma and Grandpa Gollotte.
Reading Tobin his new book.
Great Grandma was there too and Maggie loved showing her how she can put her new puzzle together.
Maggie and Grandma reading.
Later that morning, Clark, Addie, Tobin, and I went over to Auburn. Clark showed Tobin around the buildings where Clark took all of his classes and spent so much of his time.
Aunt Addie also graduated from Auburn.
Maggie and Tobin's birthday party was at a park that Clark and Addie use to have their birthday parties as kids.
Tobin liked the slide if Aunt Addie went with him on it.
The cake was almost bigger than the kids! Tobin kept picking up his candle and trying to eat it.
Yummy cake.
Tobin spent most of the party running around the park with Clark following him and taking pictures. Our camera can do this cool color thing so Clark took some fun pictures of Tobin and I.
Clark and Addie use to love to play on these stone animals when they were kids.
Aunt Pam and Great Grandma were at the party too.
Sharon and Addie with the birthday kids.
The next day after the party we tried to get some pictures of Tobin and Maggie. The animal costume pictures turned out better than the Christmas pictures.
Kissing cousins!
Maggie, Tobin, and Great Grandma (or Grams as we call her).
The new park bench. They were so busy looking at the cool new bench that they would not look at the camera. The next day after getting back from AL, Tobin and I left for Florida for Thanksgiving. Clark flew in a few days later as did Jessica. For the last 9 years all of my dad's brothers and their families have met at my Grandma's in FL for Thanksgiving. We didn't get to go last year because Tobin had just been born, so it was great to see everyone again.
Tobin and his Daddy in the pool. Tobin liked the water but loved throwing stuff in the pool more than anything.
The whole family minus Jeff. We miss you Jeffu but will get to see you soon at Christmas.
The Hutchins clan!
Tobin was so happy to be walking around barefoot again and in shorts. Yeah warm weather!
Aunt Jessa became Tobin's favorite after about 5 minutes even though he hadn't seen her in months. He thought she was so funny and always wanted her to hold him.
Aunt Jessa also let him listen to her IPOD. Thanks, get him hooked while he is young.
Saturday was game day and so Clark, Tobin and I were in our team shirts and colors.
Sisters and best friends forever. People keep saying we look like twins.
Happy Tobin on Grandpa's shoulders at the beach.
Our 6 year old cousin Cloe was also Tobin's favorite. She loved him too and the two of them got really attached to each other.
At the pool.
Jared and Cloe.
This Thanksgiving we got to meet our new cousin Amy. She and Luke (in picture above) are getting married this January.
Thanksgiving prayer and food.
Tobin's first Thanksgiving meal. Most of it ended up on the floor for the dogs to snatch up. He liked to feed them from his high chair and they loved him for it.
Cloe and Tobin playing ball.
Uncle Paul and Aunt Jen (parents to Cloe, Ben, and Will).
Grandma Sue the matriarch of the family and a really good cook! Thank you for opening up your house to all of us once again Grandma. We had so much fun.
Jessa, Will, and Tara at dinner.
The girl cousins. For a long time we were the only girl cousins, now we have Cloe too.
Jared and Luke waking up Jessica in the morning.
Aunt Nancy (mom of Luke and Tara) gave Tobin a much needed hair cut. Grandpa had given him one a week or so ago but Aunt Nancy improved it a bit.
New cousin Amy (or Aunt Amy to Tobin)
Luke and Jessica at the beach.
The beach was really windy and cold the day we went so Tobin liked being held instead of playing in the sand.
Tara and Jessica doing dishes.
Grandma and Luke.
Tobin with his cousins Will, Cloe, and Ben. Tobin had such a great time following them around and watching them. They were so great with Tobin too and took very good care of him. We miss them already!
The women of the family with our new addition Amy (minus Aunt Jen who had already headed home). We had such a great time with all of our family in Florida and Alabama. I hope that Tobin will continue to get to grow knowing all of his wonderful family on both sides!_______shg |
